Abortion

This is a time sensitive decision.

It is important for you to acquire an accurate ultrasound to secure your date of conception. Women who are considering abortion tell us that they believe it’s a choice that makes the pregnancy go away. They consider this option early in the pregnancy because it’s easier not to deal with the shame they feel by being pregnant. Yet, after the abortion is done, many women report grieving the “what might have beens.” The grief might include guilt, shame, and sadness. Frequently women who have abortions report feeling isolated and alone. If you choose to terminate your pregnancy, we urge you to find at least one person you can confide in. Make sure this person will not judge you and continue to love you unconditionally. If you have no one, find a free pregnancy test clinic near you. We have found them to listen without judgment.

The Adoption Support Center (ASC) is a safe, friendly place where expectant moms can open up about what is weighing on them. No matter where you are in your pregnancy or if you have already delivered, we are always available for a friendly conversation about your options. There are no judgments.
