Adoptive Parenting 101: Ages 0-5

June 22 @ 9:30 am12:00 pm

$15.00 – $35.00

Adoptive parents have so many places to turn to for information on raising an adopted child. Books, podcasts, social media — how do you know what’s accurate and trustworthy?

Join ASC for our Adoptive Education 101 class, a great way for adoptive parents like you to get accurate, proven education right from a trusted source. Together we will explore how to create a spirit of openness in your home.

With the education you went through pre-placement, you can definitely “talk the talk” about adoption — these classes are the best way to dedicate yourself to “walking the walk” after placement, too.

In class you will:

  • Learn accurate, factual information about adoptive parenting straight from ASC
  • Go hands-on with the issues that really matter based on your adoptee’s age
  • Get direct, in-person access to ASC staff for questions and discussion
  • Connect with adoptive families whose adoptees are around the same age as your adopted child

We expect spots to go quickly. RSVP today to secure your seat in class!

Meet Alli Mohler, MSW
Alli Mohler comes at this subject from her own lived experience of grief and trauma. She has a unique way of making sense of the hard stuff that adoptees can go through. Alli is passionate about educating adoptive parents on how to have a spirit of openness in their home, and their hearts as they raise their kiddos. With this spirit can come a sense of safety for adoptees that don't have either have a connection with their birth family, a limited connection or none at all. We hope you all join Alli for this opportunity for community and education on a Saturday morning. As Alli says, "We know you are good parents, it's our passion to help you to be Great Adoptive Parents. As adoption is a unique and complex for or parenthood".
